Europcar UK Group, the number one rental provider across Europe, has signed a new deal to become a major sponsor of the Leicester Tigers Rugby Club.
The enhanced position of Europcar as one of eight major partners is part of a new sponsorship agreement with the Team. It follows the long term support of the Club by the National Car Rental brand, which has had a presence in Leicester for more than 30 years, and is now part of Europcar UK Group.
Reflecting Europcars heightened focus on leisure customers of daily rental, the new deal means a marked increase in brand and advertising presence at the Tigers ground, as well as a presence in all fixtures programmes and on the Leicester Tigers website. As Europcar Marketing Director, Catriona Lougher explains, this will play a key role in raising awareness of the brand amongst both consumer and business customers:
We are delighted to sign this new deal with the Tigers, increasing the level of support from the business for this winning Team. It is an excellent association for the Europcar brand, not only positioning us as a key supporter for our local Club, but raising overall awareness of the services we provide to leisure and business renters. The Guinness Premiership winning club will primarily benefit through the provision of rental cars. Plus, later this year, Europcar will supply a dual branded van, featuring both the Europcar and Tigers logos, for the team to use for away matches and training.
As Peter Wheeler, Chief Executive, Leicester Tigers explained, Europcars support will be instrumental for the Club. We are delighted Europcar UK Group has confirmed its enhanced support of the Team. The provision of vehicles is important to us, especially when needed at short notice when we particularly value Europcars exceptional service. And the dual branded van will help keep the team on the move as well as keep the Tigers name out and about on the streets of Leicester.
