Europcar extends its footprint at UK Airports – Omagh, Gloucester and Anglesey added to network

London, September 2011 – Europcar, the European leader in car hire services for business and leisure users, is investing in the expansion of its UK branch network to extend the availability and accessibility of vehicle hire across the country.  Already with the greatest airport footprint in the UK, Europcar has recently opened three new locations at regional airports – Omagh, Gloucester and Anglesey. 

“These new locations at key regional airports mark the significant and ongoing investment in our network, ensuring we continue to provide both leisure and business travellers with the ultimate in choice and flexibility,” explained Ken McCall, Managing Director, Europcar Group UK.   “Air travellers in particular need as much help as possible in reducing the stress of the airport experience and by providing access to our services at more of the UK’s small regional airports we believe we are helping them achieve that.” 

Europcar offers a range of services that reflect its understanding of the particular stresses of air travel.  These include Airport Connect which enables customers to hire a vehicle from their local Europcar location, leave it at the airport branch and then take the courtesy coach directly to the terminal.  Europcar ‘Meet & Greet’ enables customers to be met at the airport or train station with their hire car.  And Europcar Arrive and Drive, available at Heathrow Airport Terminals 1 and 5, helps customers bypass the queues by completing their paperwork at a dedicated desk, allowing them drive away in their hire car waiting outside the Arrivals Hall.
