The Europcar January sale!
Save up to 50% off UK car hire booked before the end of January 2014

London, January 2014 – Europcar, the leader in car hire services in Europe, is launching its New Year sale with a range of budget-busting offers.  Hirers can get up to 50% off UK car hire booked in January and taken before 30th April*, so it’s not just furniture, fridges and fashion that consumers can make big savings on in January – they can save on car and van hire too!

From as little as £12 per day**, customers can hire a Hyundai i10 and start the year by taking advantage of the great rates on offer from Europcar. The New Year sale also extends to the Prestige fleet which offers up to 30% off vehicles such as the Mercedes-Benz S Class available from just £84 a day***. They can also save up to 20% on van hire, with vans available from under £15 per day**** during the sale.

“After the expense of the festive season, we’re aiming to help our customers kick start the New Year for less,” said Ken McCall Managing Director, Europcar UK Group. “We think our January sale is the perfect excuse for booking a break from the winter blues, or even just grabbing some bargains in the sales, and with up to 50% off car hire, customers can do so for less.”

Hit the Sales in Style

Shopping centres across the UK will be bustling in January, offering great discounts on high street brands. Hiring a car will make it even easier for shoppers heading to outlets such as Bicester Village, Bluewater or Gunwharf Quays. Having easy access to a larger vehicle could also be handy to get all the bargains back home, plus by using a hire car shoppers will save on wear on tear on their own vehicle.

Go for a Country Retreat

Sometimes piping hot fish and chips on the beach on a bright wintry day is the perfect antidote to the winter months. And Europcar’s great January rates on car hire, available on reservations taken before 31st Jan, mean it’s more affordable than ever to arrange a weekend getaway in Pembrokeshire or a drive down to Cornwall’s dramatic coastline. For a more sedate break, nothing beats locations like the Lake District or the New Forest for a country hotel, a roaring fire and a bracing walk.

Weekend city breaks for less

Yearning to see the hustle and bustle of a city winter? One of Europcar’s smaller, economical vehicles is the perfect solution to both get you there and get around, and with up to 50% off is a cheaper way to travel.

Ken McCall, Managing Director, Europcar UK Group, concludes, “Whether you prefer the buzz and nightlife of a city break or the peace and tranquillity of a rural idyll, we have a car to suit every traveller. And with up to 50% off, mobility has never been so affordable.”

Ends

*excluding hires taken between 17-21 April

**based on a 3 day weekend hire from Oxford
